A heritage older than the spice trade itself
Since 2024
Long before the world knew the word "supply chain," the farmers of Idukki, Wayanad, and Munnar were tending their spice gardens the same way their ancestors had for generations — with patience, care, and an intimate understanding of the land.
The same red laterite soil. The same monsoon that rolls in every June with the patience of a thousand years. The same families whose grandparents' grandparents knew these very cardamom vines, these very pepper climbers, these very turmeric beds. We go directly to them — no middlemen, no warehouse speculation, no adulteration — because that is the only way to carry something real to your kitchen.
Spices of Kerala was founded in 2024 with one simple belief: the people who grew up in these gardens, who learned the smell of ripe cardamom before they learned to read, deserve to be the ones who bring these spices to the world. We are only the hands that carry it forward — the story has been in the making for centuries.

What We Stand For
We work directly with farming families in Idukki, Wayanad, and Munnar — no middlemen, no intermediaries, no compromise. Every purchase reaches back to the hands that grew it.
No adulteration. No artificial colours. No fillers. Just nature's bounty — dried in the sun, cleaned by hand, and packed to preserve every essential oil and aroma that took a full season to create.
Organic farming practices passed down through generations. The same methods that have kept Kerala's spice gardens flourishing for hundreds of years — working with the land, not against it.
Arab traders crossed the Arabian Sea for it. Roman senators paid in gold. Portuguese explorers charted entirely new worlds in search of these hills. For thousands of years, the spices of Kerala's Western Ghats have been among the most coveted substances on earth. Today, they grow in the same red soil, under the same monsoon, tended by the same families — unchanged, uncompromised, alive.
Meet the Team
Founders & Curators
We are a small team of food lovers, farmers' children, and heritage advocates who grew up breathing the fragrance of cardamom hills and pepper vines. We started Spices of Kerala because we believed the world deserved to taste what we had always known — spices so pure and fresh that a single pinch transforms a dish. Every jar we pack is our personal guarantee: this is the real thing, from the source, handled with the care it deserves.
