Use of the Site
You're welcome to browse, shop, and share our content for personal, non-commercial use. Please don't misuse the site — that means no attempting to breach its security, scrape it at scale, place fraudulent orders, or use it in any way that breaks Indian law. You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract (or have a guardian's consent) to place an order.
Orders & Acceptance
When you place an order, you'll receive a confirmation — that's our acknowledgement, not yet our acceptance. Your order is accepted when we dispatch it. Because we grind in small weekly batches, an item may occasionally sell out between your click and our packing table; if that happens, we'll tell you promptly and refund anything you've paid for the unavailable item in full.
We may decline or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, where a pricing or listing error has occurred, or where we simply can't deliver to your address — and in every such case, you get a full refund.
Pricing & Errors
All prices on the site are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable GST unless stated otherwise. Shipping charges, where applicable, are shown separately at checkout before you pay.
We work hard to keep prices accurate, but we're human. If a genuine pricing error slips through (say, a jar of cardamom listed at ₹9 instead of ₹399), we may cancel affected orders and refund you in full. We'll always tell you what happened.
Subscriptions (Subscribe & Save)
Subscribe & Save is a recurring order: your chosen spices are billed and dispatched automatically every 2, 4, or 8 weeks (4 weeks by default), with a 15% discount on every order and free shipping, always.
- You can pause, skip, change, or cancel anytime before your next dispatch — a WhatsApp message to +91 96328 14369 is enough.
- There is no minimum term, lock-in, or cancellation fee.
- If a subscription payment fails, we'll let you know and simply skip that cycle; nothing ships and nothing is owed.
- Subscription prices can change over time; we'll notify you before any price change takes effect on your plan.
Delivery
We ship across India through reputed courier partners. Typical timelines are 2–5 business days for metro cities and 4–8 business days elsewhere; Express delivery is available at checkout. Full rates and details are on our Shipping & Returns page. Delivery timelines are estimates — couriers, weather, and mountain roads occasionally have their own plans — but we'll always help you track a delayed parcel via WhatsApp.
Please provide a complete, accurate address and a reachable phone number. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Returns & Refunds
Our full policy lives at Shipping & Returns and forms part of these terms. In short: report damaged or wrong items with a photo on WhatsApp within 48 hours for a free replacement or refund; unopened packs may be returned within 7 days; opened food packs can't be returned for hygiene reasons, though our quality promise still applies; and refunds reach your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Limitation of Liability
We stand fully behind our spices, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law that cannot be limited. Beyond that, our total liability for any claim connected to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays and failures caused by events genuinely beyond our control (courier disruptions, natural events, and the like).
Our products are natural foods. Please read labels and ingredient information, and consult a professional if you have allergies or medical conditions — nothing on this site is medical advice.
Intellectual Property
The Spices of Kerala name, wordmark, photography, illustrations, and the words on this site are ours (or used with permission). You're welcome to share and link to our content; please don't copy it for commercial use, or imply an affiliation with us, without written permission.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that we can't resolve together over a friendly conversation (our strong preference) will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when we add new services or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always tells you the current version. Material changes affecting active subscriptions will be communicated before they apply to you. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
